About the position
Lead the implementation of Lean and continuous improvement throughout the Itapevi plant and support other plants in the LAS region. Install the lean principles and concepts during the creation of new facilities in the region.
Supported by the Lean Manufacturing Regional Manager for Latin America South the holder will be required to grow the Lean culture at new and existing sits by coaching and mentoring all Levels at the facility. The specialist is requirement to identify/quantify operational improvements by working with the production, logistics and site based quality teams. Working in the project teams for all projects through conceptual phase to implementation of the lean culture is required.
The holder of this position is required to work on initiatives in the following areas:
- Standardization of Processes
- Operational Systems
- Operational Excellence tools, Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, TPM etc
- Supply Chain Improvements
- Professional Development /Training
What you´ll do
- Standardization of key processes
- Job holder to evaluate where necessary the key manufacturing processes against benchmark plants to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. - Operational Systems
- Job holder to implement the core operational systems that are required at each location. This will require training and coaching of local teams. Simplification of systems and efficient system design will be core attributes for success - LEAN Tools
- Be come key resource for LEAN tools and skills. The objective will be to expand utilization of these.
- Lead cross functional Black Belt projects, improving business processes within manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Facilitate 2-5 day rapid process improvement workouts (Kaizen events/Lean Campus/ VSM) targeting specific improvement opportunities
- Educate, coach, and mentor Green Belts at the facility on Lean Six Sigma tools, methodology and application.
- Drive cultural changes across the business and support the deployment of the Lean Six Sigma program in Itapevi
- Communicate project status reports on all identified initiatives
- Identify further process improvement projects
- Work with finance to identify and validate savings opportunities
- Lead Route Cause Analysis (RCA) projects on key issues identified by the business
- Support development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System - Supply Chain Improvements
- The job holder will coach/manage Six Sigma projects and Lean projects in the area of supply chain and operations, promoting the Lean principles to instil a culture continuous improvement - People
- The job holder will be required to develop people within the facility to increase the organisation’s operational competencies and skills. Provide coaching and support on green belt training through the region.
